Melbourne Airport and Accor Ready to Welcome The First New-build Hotels in The Airport in Almost 20 Years

For the launch of Victoria’s largest and most significant hotel development this year, the dual-branded Novotel & ibis Styles Melbourne Airport is getting ready to officially start checking-in guests from 1 July 2024.

Set to be the first new-build internationally branded hotel to open at Melbourne Airport in over two decades, Novotel and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport will offer travellers all the luxuries and amenities of a city hotel within easy walking distance of Terminal 4.

A significant coup for the economy and travellers in and out of Melbourne, the $230 million hotel development designed by FK Architect with interiors by Woods Bagot, boasts 464 stylishly designed guest rooms split across Novotel (248 rooms) and ibis Styles (216 rooms) located within The Hive area.

Inspired by the beauty of regional Victoria, Novotel Melbourne Airport delivers a sense of space and openness through a natural palette that creates a relaxing sanctuary, while ibis Styles Melbourne Airport depicts the urban grain of Melbourne with a uniquely personalised and playfully fun aesthetic.

Capitalising on Melbourne’s reputation as the culinary capital of Australia, travellers will be able to experience three venues including Small Holdings Cafe, for coffee and pastries, Boccata Restaurant and Wine Bar for more substantial Italian fare and Amber State Taphouse& Kitchen, a modern gastro-pub.

Guests at both properties, as well as transient travellers, can take advantage of access to Higher State, Melbourne’s first airport health and wellbeing club that provides the ultimate sanctuary for travellers to reawaken the senses and revitalise the body. The one-of-a-kind club features an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, massage and fitness centre and is conveniently situated for weary travellers in need of some self-care after a long flight.

As part of The Hive precinct at Melbourne Airport, Novotel and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport also provide business travellers with access to three conference and events spaces including a ballroom for up to 330 guests as well as The Aerofoil, an ultra-modern hotel-serviced co-working space spread across two floors.

Located in the City of Hume, Novotel and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport not only offers easy access to Melbourne Airport but is also close to local attractions including URBNSurf, Essendon Football Club, Melbourne Airport Golf Club and the Sunbury wine region. The hotel is working on building out substantial partnership programs with these local attractions, which will add an exciting layer of experience to guests of both hotels.
