Living in Vietnam

How’s it like to live in Vietnam? Whether you are living in Vietnam or going to move to this unique country anytime soon – you might want to get in touch with these beautiful Aussie natives that Australian Hospitality Alumni in Vietnam has the opportunity to meet and learn from their exciting journeys to Vietnam and the lives in Vietnam. They are no longer expatriates, some of them are very local, even more local than many of the locals who were born and raised in the host country. That’s why they are called: The ‘local’ Aussies in this very special chapter.

Meet the ‘local’ Aussies in Vietnam

Ms Leanne Summers

“I’m Leanne Summers – wedding celebrant. I had the “perfect” life in Australia. Then left it behind and moved to Vietnam”. Before we get to the wedding celebrant part, Leanne told us quickly about her “perfect” life. Leanne referred herself to be a ruthless corporate lawyer, to the extent that she had colleagues who referred her as: “The Toe-Cutter”. Find out more about Leanne’s stories HERE.

Mr & Mrs Roberts

For 7 years prior to coming to Vietnam in 2016, Michael and Karen operated their own food and beverage business; cafes/restaurants, high end catering, and a Tasmanian only provedore. Before that Karen ran the hospitality and cookery programs for Tasmania’s largest training college, and Michael worked in senior positions in the tourism industry.  Karen had also written two cookbooks, both based on Tasmanian produce. Find out more about the Roberts HERE.

“Life is a journey, not a destination. Learn to enjoy the ride.”
