A downturn is a terrible thing to waste, business sentiment generally goes. Paris-based Accor certainly hasn’t wasted time accelerating plans to transform the hotel company. The company faced a massive financial setback last year due to the pandemic and its significant exposure to Europe, where lockdowns lasted longer than markets like the U.S. and China. But Accor leaders went to work speeding up plans to beef up the company’s presence in the so-called lifestyle hotel sector, properties that focus more on local experiences and food and beverage outlets.

Vietnam tourism in the first half of 2021
According to UNWTO, international arrivals dropped by 83% in the period January – March 2021 compared to 2020. UNWTO has had reduce its forward of international arrivals for growth scenario in 2021. The General Statistics Office of Viet Nam informed that the number of international arrivals to Viet Nam in first half of 2021 decreased 97.6% over the same period of 2020. Vietnam tourism has made effort to realize the dual goal of drastically responding to the Covid-19 pandemic in the line with resume tourism industry.
Ha Long Bay – The Land of Legends
In Vietnamese, Ha Long means “descending dragon.” Dragons play a prominent role in Vietnamese culture, and the most popular legend has it that one such creature and her children descended from heaven to defend the Viet people from invaders, spraying fire and emeralds or jade. This day September 2nd marks the day revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam’s independence from France. Accor signs a new MGallery in Phu Quoc
[Accor] HO CHI MINH CITY – Accor has signed a new MGallery hotel in Phu Quoc, as part of the hospitality group’s pioneering expansion across Vietnam. The resort is set to debut in 2023, with 94 hotel rooms and 37 villas.
