Vietnam’s Mui Ne named among Booking.com’s top 10 global trending destinations for 2026

Mui Ne has become a highly sought-after travel destination, ranking eighth in Booking.com’s list of emerging spots for international travelers in early 2026, with a 20 percent increase in search demand. It caters to a growing preference for personal and experiential travel, while also ranking ninth among searches by Vietnamese travelers.

Mui Ne has emerged as one of the world’s rising travel destinations, ranking eighth among the most searched emerging destinations by international travelers for the first half of 2026, according to Booking.com.

Search demand for the coastal destination has increased by approximately 20 percent compared to the same period last year. Other destinations featured on the list include Bilbao, Barranquilla, Philadelphia, Guangzhou, Sal, Manaus, Muenster, Kochi, and Port Douglas.

The ranking reflects a broader shift in travel behavior. Based on a survey of more than 25,000 travelers across the Asia-Pacific region, Booking.com noted a growing preference for experiences centered on personal interests and self-discovery, rather than traditional checklist-style tourism.

Domestically, Mui Ne also ranked ninth among the most searched destinations by Vietnamese travelers, climbing one place compared to the previous year.

Its appeal lies in a diverse combination of coastal landscapes and outdoor experiences, from sweeping sand dunes and traditional fishing villages to water sports and seaside leisure activities.
