Most welcoming destinations
The 2026 Traveller Review Awards also recognized the most welcoming destinations in Vietnam and worldwide.
In Vietnam, the heritage town of Hoi An in central Vietnam ranked as the country’s most welcoming destination for 2026. The list also includes Mai Chau, Phu Quy Island, Ninh Binh, Ha Giang, Con Dao, Phong Nha, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, and Cao Bang.

According to Booking.com, these destinations represent the diversity of Vietnam’s tourism landscape – from historic towns and tranquil mountain retreats to sun-drenched coastal islands – all united by a shared culture of heartfelt hospitality.
“This year’s list highlights a vibrant tapestry of destinations across Vietnam,” the platform noted.
“A destination is defined as much by the warmth of its people as by its landscapes and heritage,” said Branavan Aruljothi, Booking.com’s country head in Vietnam.
“Whether it is a host in Hoi An preserving architectural heritage or local communities in Ha Giang and Mai Chau welcoming travelers into their daily lives, these genuine interactions shape experiences that travelers remember long after their journeys end.”
He added that the Traveller Review Awards serve to recognize these hospitality champions and express appreciation from Booking.com and millions of travelers worldwide.
