Sun PhuQuoc Airways commenced commercial services, launching flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang. The airline plans to operate multiple daily flights and introduce a new Da Nang-Phu Quoc route. This move aims to enhance connectivity and likely boost tourism, especially with upcoming events like the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways launched its first commercial services on Wednesday, with an early morning departure from Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi to Da Nang at 6:15 am, followed by an inaugural flight from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at 10:30 am.
The airline said the new routes will expand flight options and strengthen connectivity between Vietnam’s two largest cities and Da Nang, a key gateway to central Vietnam’s heritage destinations.
From February 25, the carrier will operate two daily flights on the Hanoi-Da Nang route, increasing to four per day starting March 1. The Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang route also begins with two daily services. Beginning March 15, Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans to introduce a Da Nang-Phu Quoc route, further expanding its domestic network and linking major tourism hubs.
The airline’s entry into Da Nang is expected to boost visitor flows to entertainment and leisure complexes across central Vietnam, particularly as the city prepares to host the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 in late May, featuring 10 competing teams and anticipated large audiences.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways currently operates a fleet of 10 aircraft. The carrier has also signed a contract to acquire 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body jets, paving the way for future long-haul and intercontinental expansion.
