Vietnam’s Con Dao Island has been named the fifth top honeymoon destination for 2026 by Vogue, recognized for its seclusion, stunning landscapes, and luxury offerings like the Six Senses Con Dao resort. Ideal for intimate getaways, the best visiting months are March to September, with sea turtle nesting occurring from July to September.
Vietnam’s Con Dao Island has been named among the world’s top honeymoon destinations for 2026, according to a newly released list by Vogue.
The magazine selected 21 global destinations, describing honeymoons as one of life’s most meaningful journeys, where couples are increasingly willing to invest in privacy, romance, and unforgettable experiences.

Con Dao ranked fifth worldwide, praised as an ideal escape for travelers seeking Vietnam’s most striking natural landscapes without the crowds. The remote archipelago, located off Vietnam’s southern coast and reachable via a 45-minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City, is characterised by dense jungles, untouched beaches, and a tranquil atmosphere.
Vogue highlighted the island’s luxury offerings, including the five-star Six Senses Con Dao, which features 50 private pool villas, ocean views, and comprehensive spa services. At the same time, Con Dao also caters to a wider range of travellers, with boutique and mid-range accommodations priced from approximately VND700,000 to VND3.5 million per night, typically within 0.5 to 1.7 kilometres of the town centre.
The optimal time to visit Con Dao is from March to September, when calm seas and light winds create ideal conditions. From July to September, visitors may also witness sea turtle nesting season, with opportunities to participate in conservation tours and observe turtles laying eggs along protected beaches.
Con Dao joins a distinguished list of honeymoon destinations for 2026, alongside romantic escapes in Italy, New Zealand, Switzerland, Morocco, the United States, the Maldives, Portugal, and Greece.
