ASEAN MICE Awards 2026: A Proud Milestone to Begin the Year for Vietnam’s Business Events Industry

Vietnam’s tourism sector made a strong impression at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026 (ATF 2026) in the Philippines, with Vietnamese destinations and venues repeatedly recognised across the region’s most prestigious MICE award categories.

As business travel and meetings continue to emerge as a strategic pillar for attracting high-value visitors, these accolades reflect Vietnam’s sustained efforts to standardise infrastructure, enhance service quality, and align with international benchmarks. The achievements mark an important step in reinforcing Vietnam’s positioning as a safe, professional, and culturally rich destination on the global tourism map.

Danang Strengthens Its Leadership in Central Vietnam’s MICE Landscape

In Central Vietnam, Danang continues to play a leading role in the MICE segment, leveraging its coastal landscape alongside strong event-hosting capabilities. The city’s well-developed service ecosystem has enabled it to consistently attract large-scale corporate and governmental delegations.

A key highlight of this success is the Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, which was honoured with the ASEAN MICE Venue Award 2026 in the Event Venue category. Notably, Ariyana Convention Centre Danang is the only venue from Danang to meet the ASEAN MICE regional standards this year.

Recognising Outstanding Contributors Across Vietnam

Alongside major industry names, the awards ceremony also recognised exemplary partners for their outstanding contributions over the past year—organisations that have demonstrated service excellence and strong competitiveness in leisure, hospitality, and MICE tourism.

This year’s honoured venues include:

  • Lady Hill Sapa Resort (Lao Cai) – A distinctive high-end retreat in Vietnam’s Northwest highlands.
  • Sun Spa Resort (Quang Binh) – A continued standout destination in Central Vietnam.
  • Silk Path Grand Hue Hotel & Spa (Thua Thien Hue) – Where imperial heritage meets contemporary service standards.
  • Ariyana Convention Centre Danang (Danang) – A core driver in attracting international-scale events.
  • The Grand Ho Tram (Ba Ria–Vung Tau) – A large-scale integrated resort complex elevating Southern Vietnam’s tourism profile.

Collectively, these recognitions not only honour individual achievements but also serve as a catalyst for the sustainable recovery and long-term growth of Vietnam’s tourism industry.

Ariyana Convention Centre Danang: A Regional Benchmark for MICE Excellence

Among this year’s recipients, Ariyana Convention Centre Danang stands out as Danang’s sole representative to receive the ASEAN MICE distinction. The ASEAN MICE Awards are known for their rigorous criteria, covering venue capacity, technical infrastructure, environmental management processes, and professional human resources.

Meeting these standards in full enabled Ariyana to outperform strong regional contenders, reinforcing its role as a trusted venue for international event organisers.

The award builds upon a strong portfolio of international accolades previously earned by the venue, including Vietnam’s Best Convention Centre at the World Luxury Travel Awards and national-level honours for event venues. Together, these recognitions form a credible assurance system for global organisers considering Danang as a host destination for high-profile international conferences.

Unlocking Global Opportunities for Danang’s MICE Ambitions

The ASEAN MICE Venue Award 2026 creates renewed momentum for Vietnam’s business events industry to innovate and expand. For Danang in particular, the presence of a regionally certified venue such as Ariyana Convention Centre Danang plays a critical role in attracting diplomatic forums, multinational corporate events, and large-scale economic summits.

This milestone supports the city’s long-term vision of becoming a leading MICE hub in Asia.

Recognition at a regional platform like ATF 2026 significantly enhances Vietnam’s competitiveness when bidding to host major international congresses. With a growing network of high-performing venues, Vietnam’s MICE sector is well positioned for a new phase of growth, contributing not only to economic development but also to the global perception of Vietnam as a dynamic, welcoming, and future-ready destination.
