Vietnam emerges as favorite destination for Korean, Singaporean and Malaysian families: Agoda

Vietnam is increasingly popular among international families, especially from South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia, with Agoda reporting a 30% rise in search interest for family travel compared to last year. Indian family interest surged 186%, reflecting Vietnam’s appeal due to its cultural richness and family-friendly attractions. Nearly 19.2 million international visitors arrived in 2025.

Based on searches made between September and November for stays during December 2025 and January 2026, Agoda recorded a 30% increase in family travel interest to Vietnam compared with the same period last year.

South Korean families generated the highest number of searches, followed by travelers from India, Singapore, Australia and Malaysia.

In terms of growth momentum, Agoda reported that Indian family travel interest rose the fastest, with searches up 186% year-on-year. Malaysia also posted a strong increase of 74%, reinforcing Vietnam’s appeal as a top family-friendly destination in Southeast Asia and beyond.

“Families choose Vietnam for its rich culture and cuisine, diverse landscapes, and a range of resorts and attractions that are welcoming to children,” said Vu Ngoc Lam, Agoda’s Country Director in Vietnam.

The trend comes as Vietnam’s tourism sector continues to break records. The country welcomed nearly 19.2 million international visitors in the first 11 months of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 21% and the highest figure ever recorded, according to the General Statistics Office.
