Vietnam, 28 May 2025 – On May 21, 2025, Khánh Hòa Province hosted a significant tourism promotion conference in Melbourne, Australia, aiming to strengthen international partnerships and attract Australian tourists to Vietnam’s south-central coast.
The event, attended by over 100 representatives from Australian and Vietnamese businesses, associations, and government agencies, highlighted Khánh Hòa’s rich offerings, including nearly 200 islands, pristine beaches, and a vibrant marine ecosystem. In 2024, the province welcomed over 10.8 million visitors, nearly 4.7 million of whom were international tourists, underscoring its appeal and resilience post-pandemic.

Vice-Chairman of the Khánh Hòa Provincial People’s Committee, Đinh Văn Thiệu, emphasized the province’s commitment to sustainable tourism and its goal of becoming a centrally governed city by 2030. He expressed optimism that enhanced collaboration with Australian partners, especially in expanding air connectivity and developing tailored tourism products, would foster mutual economic benefits.
A highlight of the conference was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Nha Trang – Khánh Hòa Tourism Association and Australian tourism partners. This agreement paves the way for joint initiatives, including organizing familiarization trips, workshops, and business networking events, to promote Khánh Hòa’s tourism potential in the Australian market.

Representatives from Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air also participated, discussing current flight routes and expressing interest in expanding services between Khánh Hòa and major Australian cities. Such developments are seen as crucial for increasing tourist arrivals and enhancing bilateral ties.
This conference marks a strategic step in Khánh Hòa’s efforts to diversify its tourism markets and strengthen international cooperation, positioning the province as a premier destination for Australian travelers seeking unique cultural and coastal experiences.
