Vietnam, 20 May 2025 – This summer, Da Nang is set to host its most ambitious and immersive Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) yet. Running from May 31 to July 12, 2025, under the theme “Da Nang – The New Rising Era,” the festival commemorates the 50th anniversary of the city’s liberation. The event promises to be a grand celebration of light, sound, and cultural exchange, solidifying Da Nang’s reputation as Vietnam’s premier festival destination.
Global Participation and Cultural Exchange
DIFF 2025 will feature ten elite pyrotechnic teams from nine countries, including two from Vietnam—a first in the festival’s history. Teams from Finland, the UK, Portugal, Poland, South Korea, Italy, Canada, and China will join the Vietnamese teams in a series of themed nights, each showcasing unique narratives through fireworks and music. The inclusion of diverse international teams underscores the festival’s commitment to fostering global cultural exchange.
Festival Schedule and Theme
The festival will unfold over six Saturday nights, each with a distinct theme:
May 31: “Legacy of Culture” – Vietnam 1 (Da Nang) vs. Finland
June 7: “The Art of Creativity” – Vietnam 2 (Z121) vs. Poland
June 14: “The Path of Unity” – Canada vs. China
June 21: “Sustainable Development” – Portugal vs. UK
June 28: “Powered by Innovation” – South Korea vs. Italy
July 12: Grand Finale – “The New Rising Era” featuring the top two teams
Each night will transform the Han River into a canvas of light and sound, with performances designed to captivate audiences and celebrate shared human experiences.
Embracing modern technology, DIFF 2025 will integrate augmented reality (AR) through the Sun Paradise Land app, allowing spectators to experience the fireworks virtually from anywhere. This innovation ensures broader accessibility and offers a new dimension to the festival experience.
Beyond the fireworks, the festival will feature a range of cultural performances, culinary events, and art installations throughout the city. These activities aim to provide a holistic experience, showcasing Da Nang’s rich cultural heritage and contemporary vibrancy.
Tickets are available through the Sun Paradise Land app, with early bird discounts of up to 35% for bookings made before April 15, 2025. Seating options range from VIP to standard, ensuring a variety of experiences for attendees.
