Kimpton Teneriffe by IHG Set to Open in Brisbane, Australia

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) will soon open its first managed luxury hotel in Brisbane, Australia. This exciting news follows the signing of an agreement with Kokoda Property to bring the popular Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants brand to the trendy suburb of Teneriffe by 2028.

Kimpton is a brand by IHG Hotels & Resorts

San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, is the original boutique hotel company, which pioneered the concept of unique, distinctive, design-forward hotels in the United States in 1981. Anchored in one-of-a-kind experiences, Kimpton now operates more than 60 hotels and 75 restaurants, bars and lounges across urban locations, resort destinations and up-and-coming markets in the United States, Canada, Europe, Caribbean and Greater China. Kimpton spaces and experiences center on its guests, offering inspiring design to forward-thinking flavors that feed the soul. Every detail is thoughtfully designed and artfully delivered, so that guest experiences remain meaningful and unscripted personal.

Announced at AHICE Asia Pacific today, the upcoming luxurious Kimpton hotel in Brisbane’s Teneriffe district will be an integral part of Kokoda Property’s $1.5 billion mixed-use development. This development will encompass extensive ground-floor hospitality and retail offerings, commercial offices, and multiple residential towers, creating a vibrant lifestyle precinct.

We couldn’t be more excited to bring our Kimpton brand to Brisbane, particularly in such a strategic location that perfectly aligns to the aspirational ethos of the brand. Kimpton has an ardent global following amongst the lifestyle-led and socially inclined, which will resonate strongly as part of the Skyring Terrace precinct and within Brisbane’s luxury hotel market.

This addition will significantly enhance Brisbane’s luxury hotel market. The Kimpton hotel will offer approximately 155 uniquely designed rooms and suites, including exclusive marquee suites tailored for celebrity guests and VIPs. Reflecting Kimpton’s renowned reputation for exceptional dining experiences, the hotel will feature a 200-plus-seat signature restaurant and bar on Level 14. Additionally, guests can enjoy a spa with multiple treatment rooms, a fitness center, and 618 square meters of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, taking full advantage of Brisbane’s tropical climate.
