One sleep until Vivid Sydney 2022 lights up

[NSW Government] Vivid Sydney 2022 will light up from tomorrow night, with more than 200 exciting events, music performances, brilliant light installations and 3D projections to illuminate Sydney like never before.

Vivid returns to Sydney tomorrow night after two years of COVID-19 cancellations

Vivid Sydney 2022 will activate and energise Circular Quay, Sydney’s CBD, The Rocks, Walsh Bay, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Darling Quarter, Darling Square, as well as welcoming the return of Taronga Zoo and Luna Park.

Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade and Minister for Tourism Stuart Ayres said Vivid Sydney is nearly upon us and it’s going to be bigger, bolder and better than ever.

“It’s been a long wait since the lights went out on Vivid Sydney 2019 and few things could make me happier than seeing this spectacular event kick off tomorrow night. The world will be watching and welcome,” Mr Ayres said.

“This year, the lights of Vivid Sydney will shine even more brightly, signaling to locals and visitors alike, with your support we can boost our live performance venues, bars, restaurants, cafes, retailers, attractions, hotels and businesses in the city who have done it tough over the last two years.

“There is something for everyone in this year’s awe-inspiring program with 50 dazzling light installations and 3D projection artworks, 111 eclectic music events and 87 thought-provoking ideas talks and immersive workshops.

“It’s time to get out and enjoy our Sydney again, to celebrate our beautiful and resilient city and I encourage everyone, young and old, to come and enjoy Vivid Sydney 2022,” Mr Ayres said.
