The inspiring partnership between these two organizations is making strides in transforming the lives of 10,000 disadvantaged children in Vietnam through education, awareness, and unwavering support.
Since 2020, IHG has been working actively with the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation to force change and provide shelter, support, and hope to homeless and innocent children in Vietnam, where an estimated one in five live in poverty.
Many of these children are forced to relocate from their villages to major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, facing the harsh reality of living on the streets to financially support their families, leaving them exposed to danger and violence.
This year, the collaboration has been strengthened, with IHG pledging support for 10,000 disadvantaged young people. The commitment includes funds for scholarships, educational assistance, textbooks for ethnic minority students, and initiatives to raise awareness about the risks of unsafe migration and child labor, as well as providing career orientation sessions to students in Dien Bien. This assistance is not only aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals of ‘No Poverty,’ ‘Quality Education,’ and ‘Reduced Inequality,’ but also marks a continuation of IHG’s long-standing support in this field.
IHG’s commitment goes beyond financial contributions, with employees actively volunteering and raising funds. The company’s 16 hotels in Vietnam are engaged in various meaningful efforts and activities, all in line with IHG’s 10-year action plan, Journey To Tomorrow, which aims to drive positive change for people, communities, and the planet.

The collaboration extends to events like the annual Blue Dragon Marathon Walk in September, where IHG’s participation has contributed significantly to raise over 60 million dong for vulnerable communities in Vietnam, thanks to the efforts of its participants and contributors, including hotel guests.
The IHG team participated for the third year running, through a coordinated effort across its properties in the country, including Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay, Regent Phu Quoc, InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort, InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72, InterContinental Hanoi Westlake, InterContinental Nha Trang and Crowne Plaza Vinh Yen City Centre.
Besides, select IHG hotels in Vietnam are also displaying Blue Dragon products for sale, with all proceeds going to the Foundation.
